A Preposition is a word that shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and another word in a sentence.

Definition:
A Preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to show its relationship with another word in the sentence.

जो शब्द किसी संज्ञा (Noun) या सर्वनाम (Pronoun) का संबंध वाक्य के अन्य शब्दों से बताता है, उसे Preposition कहते हैं।
What is a Preposition?

Prepositions help us understand the relationship of time, place, direction, position, and movement.

The book is on the table.
The cat is under the chair.
He arrived at 8 o'clock.
She lives in Delhi.

Words like on, under, at, and in are prepositions because they show relationships.

Why are Prepositions Important?

Without prepositions, sentences lose clarity and meaning.

Functions of Prepositions

Prepositions mainly show:
